In January, Sakhalin Energy announced the start of applications submission for the next grant competition of the Energy Social Initiatives Fund. Non-profit organisations and institutions registered and operating on Sakhalin are eligible to participate in the competition.
Traditionally, the company supports projects of public importance in the area of environmental protection and biodiversity preservation, education, promotion of healthy life style and supporting socially vulnerable population groups as well as educational, sports and cultural initiatives. Considering that 2020 has been declared the Year of Commemoration and Glory in honour of 75th Anniversary of Victory in the World War II, priority will be given to the projects to include activities aimed at the preservation of historical commemorations.
Sakhalin Energy will allocate up to RUR 300,000 to the winning ‘Local Initiatives’ projects and up to RUR 600,000 to the winning ‘Partnership Projects’.
The grant applications will be reviewed on a biannual basis. Round 1 will complete on March 2. Finalists will be announced before March 25 on Energy Social Initiatives Fund website http://www.fondenergy.ru./.
Round 2 will be conducted according to the following schedule: call for applications - until September 15, winners announcement - until September 30.
Information about the competition procedure, template applications and exemplary winning projects are available at the website of Energy Social Initiatives Fund.
