Since 1995, Sakhalin Energy has published corporate calendars to illustrate the company’s activities, key achievements in Sakhalin-2 development. The corporate calendar was also used as an additional information source for key stakeholders in Sakhalin-2 and Sakhalin residents.
Sakhalin Energy calendar 2019 is dedicated to the company’s 25th anniversary: A quarter of a century ago, on 18th April 1994, Sakhalin Energy was established as the operator of the Sakhalin-2 project to be developed on the basis of Russia's first Production Sharing Agreement, which was signed later that year. In July 1999, within just five years from the project start, the Company produced first offshore oil from a Sakhalin field. Ten year later, on 18 February 2009, the company launched the first LNG plant in Russia under the Sakhalin-2 project, introducing Russia to the world club of LNG producers.
